Malignant creativity
If we do not exercise creativity in our life, it will find its way out one way or another. Creativity that’s not positively exercised becomes malignant... What do I mean by that? We start using our imagination and our creativity to make up false stories and to imagine the worst case scenario. We’ll build grand castle-like frameworks around the worst thing that could possibly happen. Why? Because that’s our creativity trying to get out. If we exercise it positively, our imagination creativity will have no room to create worst case scenarios that are just not possible...
Just remember that if you’re finding yourself overthinking and overanalyzing and building worst case scenarios and telling yourself stories of what somebody said behind your back, which they didn’t, it’s because you’re not exercising enough positive creativity. It’s a natural function of creativity trying to get out one way or another and becoming malignant.
